Congratulations are in order to Dan McCarthy for his, "The Day Everything Became Nothing," for the highest placing art-print.

Hey Doug, forgive me if I'm being redundant, but any chance of getting art prints and gig posters separate awards next time around?

The separation of gig and art prints for the 2008 voting hasn't even begun to be discussed. This one just kinda crept up on us (the Board of Directors, I mean) with other things on our plate at the moment so a re-visiting of the voting process/setup was not done. It is in my mind as something that I'd like to see for next year (among other possibilities for structure of voting).

Are there stats on how many votes were cast for each image?

Has this been discussed yet ;)

Here's to hoping this great idea doesn't get swept under the rug and acted on too late!

Keep up the great work!

How about an OG of the year too then? Maybe gig art OG and art print OG as well?

It does sound pretty cool to vote on the gigposter, art print, and OGs of the year, and then have the winners square off against each other for Art of the Year.

It also sounds like a lot of effing work for the admins and mods. And there was really nothing wrong with the voting for '07...I thought the system was pretty sweet, in fact, just not as sweet as the "categories" idea.

In any case, thanks in advance for putting the effort into whatever happens in 6 months.

Nope, hasn't been discussed as of yet. I wouldn't expect to see a category for OG at this point but I guess it could be a possibility.

OG of the year is pretty dumb as 99.9% of people will never see any of the OG's in person.

But, I dig the seperate art print vs. poster idea.
