I dont understand why people are posting up prints that were not in the list nor were the released in 2014!?
It was really tough choosing through a few of those pages and some prints i would have voted for released in 2014 did not even make the lists.
I almost passed voting for this just because technically it hasnt even been printed yet but the one reveal and with TT and ROTK looking so fantastic and it being on the list I think this takes the cake for Cinema.
As I dont collect gig posters much and only have a few it was tough between this and SLEEP but ultimately I think The detail and metallic inks on this gave it an edge.
This was probably the toughest category to navigate through for me. Some were basically a coin toss but in the end Hua took it.
Some of what was passed over doesnt deserve to be passed over. Honorable mentions. J. Jean, Delort, Geddes, Durieux and Weston

I have to agree. For some reason this year seemed particularly difficult. The gig poster vote was the most difficult of the three categories, and I ended up voting for the only one I'd display for the art rather than the band. As for art prints, it came down to De la Mano, Phlegm, and Waone - had to go with Edge of Time, but absolutely love Whale Hunters and Fight or Flight, and felt bad voting against them. The movie poster was by far the easiest of the categories, at least for me. Meadows Lolita is a stunning piece of art.sidaldo wrote:Voted! That was tough though.

Jeez, this year was super tough, especially for Art Print and Cinema Print. I chose the Stout GotG, but I seriously think a Durieux deserves to win. I just couldn't pick just one though for the purposes of this vote, though.
I own 2 of these 3. When it's time, I'll be ISO of a Tunan Crouching Tiger!
Gig
Art Print
Cinema

That Lolita poster is excellent. I tried to get it last month but tough without quite a few $$$.
Cinema poster of the year was hard with all those amazing Durieux pieces. Couldn't make up my mind between Forbidden Planet, The Birds (pier), and Rear Window :/

Some GREAT gig posters, personally thought the Black Keys tour brought out a lot of killer work (and that's not including some of the best being WSP or PJ prints).
Feels like we got less quality cinema posters but the ones we did get were pretty damn good. Think it was Durieux's year to shine, really.
And some REALLY great art prints (always funny to see some cinema posters pop up in there, even licensed ones), probably a lot more tough choices for me at least.
