2023 POTY “Ghosts of Tsushima” won’t be making an appearance in Atlanta? Shame.

Would have been nice to see what was so special about it. After all, it swept 2 of 3 categories, besting many of e-beans most beloved Artists.
Some Facebook group of vidiot kids highjacked EB.
It had zero comments and it wins?
I thought admin would be frantically correcting the mistake, having it in two categories, but nope.
No one cares but a handful of oldtimers.
Eats at me… i feel bad for Spusta.
The video cartridge guy probably isn’t even drymounting aware. Marq is aware. Screwed the poor guy.

Two killer posters for this show and they both have double eagles.
Is that an official thing?
Can’t be coincidental no?

The frustrating thing is, it’s an easy drymounting fix to a glaring mistake. How is the same poster in two catagories?

“ Oops. We accidentally had the kid’s video game poster listed twice. It still wins Shart Print 1st Place.
Long time contributor and local favorite Marq Spusta wins 1st place gig poster.
Thank you, sorry for the mix up, congratulations. “

What I’ve been saying right along, movie poster fans aren’t happy with their own niche in E-Beans. They game the system with their silly blocks. E-beans wouldn’t even exist without music items and band posters.

Now they’re trying to cancel Music/Art print items from E-Beans all together. Pretty obvious when POTY AND Art print categories allow Movie items. And the genre is getting pretty tired imo. How many “Astro Boy” posters does there need to be? lol.

The fact that this isn’t being addressed and there’s no explanation from management tells you all you need to know.

Just change the name of the site to “Mondobeans”

Close up of the 2023 POTY AND Art Print of the year, “Ghost of Tsushima” lower left corner.

It literally says, “ Alternative Movie Poster of the Week”

Can someone explain to me why this item was included in the Poster of the Year category?

Additionally, why was it included in a SECOND category (Art Print of the Year)

Lastly, why wasn’t it included in the Movie poster category where it obviously belonged. Anybody?

And how about some transparency while we’re at it. Show us the actual vote totals.

Are we going to get an explanation what happened here or not? Not one member has defended POTY Ghost of Tsushima as a legitimate winner. Consensus is Marq Spusta should be 1st place. It’s been 3-weeks!

Or is this thread gonna be bumped down with those 20 or so recently created items that literally have no meaning or no profile.

This is the elephant in the room and it’s not going away. It has to be addressed

Hey,

This was definitely a faux pas by The Team. We failed to cull through the entries this year and properly categorize them. We are, slowly, working on a solution for this year's results in order to make them as "accurate" as possible.

relaunch the voting Feb 1st and redo it with it done properly, or just remove the prints in wrong categories and award based on that.

not a big deal honestly.

Definitely need some category reform or something. Wish there was always a gig poster, a movie poster, and an art print

Can someone tell me how “Pirates of the Caribbean” belongs in the 2024 Art Print of the Year category?

We haven’t even fixed 2023 and we already have Cinema poster candidates in the 2024 Art Print of the Year Category. It hasn’t even been 1 month!

if you see an error just reach out to one of the admins and let them know to fix it... with 100s of posters being approved there are gonna be some mistakes that get through the cracks.

note that in this case the poster is actually for the ride not the movie and there is no better category for it...

"Poster based on the classic Disney theme park ride."
