Ask a bunch of artists if they have any nice older or newer variants they wouldn't mind putting up for sale. Work out a deal with them so good profit for them and some profit for EB. Then auction these babies off to the EB world only!

what? Where? How about Tapatalk? No way it cost that much. You can get FREE or BASIC for $799.

But realistically, we all have phones now that are above capable of handling Expresso Beans. I'm sure some are still stuck with BB pearls, but not the majority.

The goal isn't to make an app for the forums - it's to make the SITE prepped/as/for an app. That's a major project from everyone I've talked to and where the price comes from. You're talking about - on our strongest/most active day - 500-550 users for the forums. Of that number, how many are looking for/planning on accessing via phone? Not really worth shelling out for just the forums...

Brendan, if this site wants to move forward as the premiere resource for current market value of art objects, an easily accessible phone app is the way to go. That's how pickers and hunters find out how to get a deal or how to give an appraisal these days. Just an opinion.

And that's what I was/am saying in the above. PLUSH posted a suggestion, but from what I'm reading/understanding in that link, it's only a phone app to allow a link up/transition/access to the forums. That doesn't provide any of the resources as available that you're talking about there, Matt.
What we'd need/be looking at is a semi-reinterpretation of the site to fit/flow for phone and/or tablets. That's where the cost comes in...
